Northern Lights in Norway: Always a Winning Memory

Another incredible northern lights photo from our travellers!

Our Nordic Photo of the Month winners for December 2014, Janice and Sitthivet Santikarn, were certainly in the right time at the right place.

The Santikarns watching the northern lights in Tromsø, Norway.  This area is located in the "aurora belt", so viewing conditions are ideal.

That time was late November and the place was Tromsø in northern Norway, one of the ports of call on our 8-day Northern Lights by Train & Cruise holiday. This Arctic region of Norway has long been considered a must-visit destination for aurora seekers—in fact it's one of the top travel hotspots for 2015!

Besides waiting for aurora displays at night, the city of Tromsø is a great place for partaking in winter sports, like dog-sledding or snowmobiling, or just taking in the Arctic culture.

The new winning picture will serve as our cover image on our Facebook page until next month. Will you be our next winner?
